A privileged call to reparation
First Saturday: Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
The first Saturday of the month is Our Lady's tender and urgent invitation to make reparation to her Immaculate Heart. She asks the faithful to confess, receive Holy Communion, pray five decades of the Rosary, and keep her company for fifteen minutes while meditating upon its mysteries, on five consecutive first Saturdays. Mary keeps nothing for herself: she gathers souls beneath her mantle in order to form them for Jesus Christ, hatred of sin, and perseverance beneath His Cross.
Our Lady's First Saturday Promise
In the devotion officially published by the Bishop of Leiria in 1939, Our Lady promises to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, those who fulfill the requested acts on the first Saturday of five consecutive months. This maternal promise calls the soul to reparation, sacramental fidelity, the Rosary, and persevering companionship with Mary in the mysteries of her Divine Son.

The intention
In reparation for blasphemy, ingratitude, impurity, and contempt directed against Our Lady; for the conversion of sinners; and for the grace to imitate her recollection, purity, obedience, and unwavering fidelity to Jesus Christ.
Answer the invitation today
With the intention of making reparation, confess within the permitted time, receive Holy Communion worthily, pray five decades of the Rosary, and keep Our Lady company for fifteen minutes while meditating upon the mysteries of the Rosary. If sacramental participation is impossible today, begin with the acts that are possible and ask for the grace to keep the complete devotion faithfully.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, keep me with thee in the mysteries of Jesus. Obtain for me purity of heart, hatred of sin and heresy, fidelity to the Catholic Faith, and perseverance beneath the Cross. Place this day's prayer and sacrifice in the hands of thy Divine Son.

The Blessed Virgin Mary
Saturday is kept in filial remembrance of Our Lady, who remained faithful when Our Lord lay hidden in the tomb. Walk with Mary toward Jesus by imitating her faith, purity, recollection, and perseverance.

For growth in true devotion to Mary, the conversion of sinners, the protection of purity, and perseverance in the Catholic Faith.
A faithful act
Set the goal of praying the complete traditional Rosary today: all fifteen decades of the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries. Offer it for a definite intention, especially for the conversion and salvation of sinners. If the duties of your state require it, pray its three parts at different hours, but persevere toward completing the whole Rosary. Souls are in need: at Fatima, Our Lady warned that many souls go to hell because there is no one to make sacrifices and pray for them.

The Church does not leave the faithful to pass through time as though days were neutral. This observance teaches the soul to receive the day under grace, to remember what God has done, and to let sacred time order study, prayer, and perseverance.
Profess the Catholic Faith, honor the Mother of God, and resolve to reject every error and sin that separates souls from her Son.
Formation in True Devotion - Day 70: Review and Deepening: Mary's Maternal Formation of Christ's Members
“The most infallible and indubitable sign by which we may distinguish a heretic, a man of bad doctrine, a reprobate, from one of the predestinate, is that the heretic and the reprobate have nothing but contempt and indifference for our Blessed Lady, endeavouring by their words and examples to diminish the worship and love of her openly or hiddenly, and sometimes under specious pretexts.”
St. Louis de Montfort teaches that habitual contempt or indifference toward the Mother of God reveals a deeper rejection of the order established by her divine Son. True Marian devotion cannot coexist peacefully with heresy, schism, false worship, or the effort to reduce Our Lady's rightful honor under plausible excuses.
Hatred of heresy is never hatred or cruelty toward persons. It is uncompromising rejection of falsehood for love of God and souls, beginning within oneself. Honor Our Lady by hating the pride, impurity, compromise, false obedience, and self-will that contradict her Faith and virtues; defend truth clearly while praying and sacrificing for those deceived by error.

Offer the day before spending it
Prayer gives the day its right beginning and its right end. Before work, conversation, news, or distraction claims the mind, adore the Blessed Trinity and offer every prayer, work, joy, suffering, and temptation to Jesus through Mary. Ask your Guardian Angel for help, and place the souls and needs entrusted to you beneath God's will.
Begin simply. Make the Morning Offering through the hands of Our Lady. Pray the Three Hail Marys for purity and final perseverance, ask your Guardian Angel to govern the senses and imagination, and name the soul or intention for which today's prayers and sacrifices will be offered. Do not rush these acts merely because they are familiar; let them place the whole day beneath God before the world begins to claim it.
O Lord, preserve me from fair appearances that hide error. Teach me to love truth more than comfort, approval, or the peace that leaves souls wounded.

Festival of St. Titus, bishop and confessor. — At Caesarea, in Cappadocia, the birthday of St. Dorothy, virgin and martyr, who was stretched on the rack, then a long time scourged with boughs of the palm-tree, and finally condemned to capital punishment, under Sapricius, governor of that province. Her noble confession of Christ converted a lawyer named Theophilus, who was also tortured in a barbarous manner, and finally put to death by the sword. — The same day, the holy martyrs Saturninus, Theophilus, and Revocata. — At Emesa, in Phrenicia, in the time of the emperor Maximian, St. Silvanus, bishop, who, after having governed that church forty years, was delivered to the beasts with two other Christians, and having his limbs all mangled, received the palm of martyrdom. — At Clermont, in Auvergne, St. Antholiau, martyr. — The same day, the holy bishops Vedastus and Amandus, who were illustrious by many miracles, both in life and death. True Devotion to Mary Forms the Soul in Christ
Remain here for a little while. The purpose is not to gather another fact, but to allow today's Catholic truth to judge the heart, strengthen the will, and become an act offered to God.
The Church places this truth before you today: True Marian devotion is not sentiment detached from obedience. It brings the soul more deeply under Christ's rule. Do not hurry past it as though doctrine belonged only to books and controversies. A revealed truth is also a light by which the soul must judge its loyalties, its fears, its habits, and the duties immediately before it. Our Lady does not compete with her Son. She forms servants who hear Him, believe Him, and remain beneath His Cross.
The grace to be practiced is Apostolic order and pastoral steadiness, drawn from today's saintly witness. Ask God for more than the natural appearance of this virtue. Temperament may make an action seem easy for a time, but supernatural virtue remains faithful because God is worthy of obedience, even when feeling offers no assistance and no one notices the cost. Practice doctrinal charity by speaking truth without dilution, treating persons without contempt, and praying earnestly for conversion.
There is also an enemy to recognize: Resist false Marian devotion that seeks comfort, novelty, or emotion without conversion. Do not study this danger only in other people. Look quietly for the door by which it seeks entrance into your own soul - perhaps through delay, curiosity, resentment, human respect, attachment to comfort, or the desire to control the outcome. Dying to self today means choosing apostolic order and pastoral steadiness when pride, comfort, fear, resentment, or human respect asks for control.
Do the faithful act and entrust its fruit to divine Providence, God's wise and loving governance of all things. Place effort and outcome into Our Lady's hands so that the whole offering may be presented to her Divine Son. Confidence in God is not passivity: obey, pray, work, and accept that visible success, consolation, or immediate relief may not be given. God remains faithful when the duty is hidden and the outcome uncertain. Therefore, perform the duty that belongs to you, use the lawful means God has provided, and then surrender the fruit. Bear misunderstanding and human disfavor rather than purchase acceptance through silence, false unity, or compromise of the Faith. Remove from your conduct every expression of indifference toward doctrine or Our Lady, and make reparation through prayer, study, witness, and sacrifice.

“If we would every year overcome one vice, we should anon come to perfection.”
À Kempis does not flatter the soul with the promise of instant perfection. He asks for patient warfare against a definite vice. Much spiritual discouragement comes from trying vaguely to become holy while refusing to name the repeated fault through which self-will governs ordinary life.
Choose the vice by its actual frequency, not by how dramatic its name appears. It may be complaint, delay, curiosity, harsh judgment, vanity, impurity of thought, or refusal of prayer. Place it before God without excuse, ask Our Lady for the contrary virtue, and begin with its next small occasion.

Name your recurring vice and write down the contrary acts you will make whenever it appears.
Before Night Falls
Return the completed day to God.
Give thanks before measuring the day by feeling or visible success. Ask light to see faults without discouragement, make an Act of Contrition, forgive injuries, and place tomorrow beneath divine Providence.
Examine whether fear, vanity, resentment, or convenience made you conceal truth, mistreat persons, excuse error, or tolerate sin in yourself.
