The Catechism Foundations path is for readers who have begun to see the order of Scripture and now need the first doctrines of Catholic life stated simply. The soul must learn not only what God has done in sacred history, but why man exists, what faith is, why is necessary, what sin does, how prayer begins, why Baptism matters, and how a Christian must live.

These lessons are not advanced speculation. They are first principles. A person cannot live the Catholic life safely if he does not know why God made him, what he must believe, how he is saved, what he must avoid, what he must receive, and where he is going.

Man was made for God. Faith receives His truth. gives supernatural life. Sin destroys that life. The and nourish it. The commandments guide it. teaches and guards it. Death brings the soul before judgment.

Keep Basic Catholic Prayers close while reading these lessons. The soul should not only learn what prayer is, but begin praying.
