A privileged call to reparation
First Saturday: Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
The first Saturday of the month is Our Lady's tender and urgent invitation to make reparation to her Immaculate Heart. She asks the faithful to confess, receive Holy Communion, pray five decades of the Rosary, and keep her company for fifteen minutes while meditating upon its mysteries, on five consecutive first Saturdays. Mary keeps nothing for herself: she gathers souls beneath her mantle in order to form them for Jesus Christ, hatred of sin, and perseverance beneath His Cross.
Our Lady's First Saturday Promise
In the devotion officially published by the Bishop of Leiria in 1939, Our Lady promises to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, those who fulfill the requested acts on the first Saturday of five consecutive months. This maternal promise calls the soul to reparation, sacramental fidelity, the Rosary, and persevering companionship with Mary in the mysteries of her Divine Son.

The intention
In reparation for blasphemy, ingratitude, impurity, and contempt directed against Our Lady; for the conversion of sinners; and for the grace to imitate her recollection, purity, obedience, and unwavering fidelity to Jesus Christ.
Answer the invitation today
With the intention of making reparation, confess within the permitted time, receive Holy Communion worthily, pray five decades of the Rosary, and keep Our Lady company for fifteen minutes while meditating upon the mysteries of the Rosary. If sacramental participation is impossible today, begin with the acts that are possible and ask for the grace to keep the complete devotion faithfully.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, keep me with thee in the mysteries of Jesus. Obtain for me purity of heart, hatred of sin and heresy, fidelity to the Catholic Faith, and perseverance beneath the Cross. Place this day's prayer and sacrifice in the hands of thy Divine Son.

Saturday remembrance
The Blessed Virgin Mary
Saturday is kept in filial remembrance of Our Lady, who remained faithful when Our Lord lay hidden in the tomb. Walk with Mary toward Jesus by imitating her faith, purity, recollection, and perseverance.

For growth in true devotion to Mary, the conversion of sinners, the protection of purity, and perseverance in the Catholic Faith.
A faithful act
Set the goal of praying the complete traditional Rosary today: all fifteen decades of the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries. Offer it for a definite intention, especially for the conversion and salvation of sinners. If the duties of your state require it, pray its three parts at different hours, but persevere toward completing the whole Rosary. Souls are in need: at Fatima, Our Lady warned that many souls go to hell because there is no one to make sacrifices and pray for them.

Blessed Mother, keep me under thy mantle, receive this day into thy hands, and lead me in all things to Jesus.

The Corpus Christi octave keeps the true Eucharistic sacrifice before the Church, while St. Boniface shows the missionary consequence of true worship. Charity does not leave idols standing: it names and removes what holds souls from God, then calls them to the altar where Christ is truly adored.
Ask Our Lady to dwell in your soul and to order your memory, understanding, will, imagination, passions, senses, and works toward Jesus.
Formation in True Devotion - Day 189: Review and Deepening: Mary's Maternal Formation of Christ's Members
“God the Father wishes to have children by Mary till the consummation of the world; and He has said to her these words, In Jacob inhabita—‘Dwell in Jacob,’—that is to say, Make your dwelling and residence in My predestinated children, figured by Jacob, and not in the reprobate children of the devil, figured by Esau.”
The language of Jacob and Esau is a summons to conversion, not permission to presume that a devotional label guarantees salvation. A soul in which Mary dwells must welcome what she loves: Jesus Christ, the Catholic Faith, purity, humility, obedience, prayer, sacrifice, and perseverance.
Prepare an interior dwelling for her by expelling mortal sin, rejecting heresy, repairing scandal, and cleansing daily conduct of deliberate compromise. If you fall, return through contrition and the means appointed by Christ. Let the whole household of the soul come under her maternal order.

Offer the day before spending it
Prayer gives the day its right beginning and its right end. Before work, conversation, news, or distraction claims the mind, adore the Blessed Trinity and offer every prayer, work, joy, suffering, and temptation to Jesus through Mary. Ask your Guardian Angel for help, and place the souls and needs entrusted to you beneath God's will.
Begin simply. Make the Morning Offering through the hands of Our Lady. Pray the Three Hail Marys for purity and final perseverance, ask your Guardian Angel to govern the senses and imagination, and name the soul or intention for which today's prayers and sacrifices will be offered. Do not rush these acts merely because they are familiar; let them place the whole day beneath God before the world begins to claim it.
O Lord Jesus Christ, keep me faithful to Thy true worship. Through St. Boniface, give me courage to reject idols without hatred of persons and to labor for their conversion.

Roman Breviary, Proper lessons for St. Boniface
“He thoroughly purged Hesse and Thuringia from all remains of idolatry.”
- The Breviary presents St. Boniface as an English monk whose zeal for souls drove him from cloistered security to the conversion of Germany.
- He sought an apostolic commission from Rome, preached where his first labor seemed fruitless, reclaimed thousands from devil-worship, founded bishoprics, and held synods for the spread of the faith.
- The Third Nocturn joins his apostolate to St. Augustine's teaching on purity of heart, ordered peace, obedience to truth, and the casting out of the prince of disorder.
Mission is not friendliness with idols. St. Boniface teaches that souls are won by prayer, Roman mission, hard labor, doctrinal courage, and the destruction of false worship.

. BONIFACE, bishop of Mayence, who came from England to Rome, and was sent by Gregory II. to Germany to preach the faith of Christ to the people of that country. Having converted large multitudes to the Christian religion, especially in Friesland, he merited the title of Apostle of the Germans. Ask St. Boniface for courage that serves souls. The axe is not hatred when it falls on the idol that keeps men from Christ.

Mary Is Mother of God and Mother of the Faithful
Remain here for a little while. The purpose is not to gather another fact, but to allow today's Catholic truth to judge the heart, strengthen the will, and become an act offered to God.
The Church places this truth before you today: The Blessed Virgin Mary is truly Mother of God, and her maternal office belongs to the order of Christ's Incarnation, Passion, and grace. Do not hurry past it as though doctrine belonged only to books and controversies. A revealed truth is also a light by which the soul must judge its loyalties, its fears, its habits, and the duties immediately before it. Marian doctrine protects the truth about Christ: one divine Person, truly God and truly man, born of the Virgin Mother.
The grace to be practiced is Missionary courage against idolatry, drawn from today's saintly witness. Ask God for more than the natural appearance of this virtue. Temperament may make an action seem easy for a time, but supernatural virtue remains faithful because God is worthy of obedience, even when feeling offers no assistance and no one notices the cost. Practice interior order by rejecting every deliberate occasion of sin and governing the whole day according to faith and duty.
There is also an enemy to recognize: Resist every thin devotion that praises Mary while separating her from doctrine, sacrifice, and the life of grace. Do not study this danger only in other people. Look quietly for the door by which it seeks entrance into your own soul - perhaps through delay, curiosity, resentment, human respect, attachment to comfort, or the desire to control the outcome. Dying to self today means choosing missionary courage against idolatry when pride, comfort, fear, resentment, or human respect asks for control.
Do the faithful act and entrust its fruit to divine Providence, God's wise and loving governance of all things. Place effort and outcome into Our Lady's hands so that the whole offering may be presented to her Divine Son. Confidence in God is not passivity: obey, pray, work, and accept that visible success, consolation, or immediate relief may not be given. God remains faithful when the duty is hidden and the outcome uncertain. Therefore, perform the duty that belongs to you, use the lawful means God has provided, and then surrender the fruit. Permit the painful removal of attachments, habits, entertainments, and compromises that cannot remain in Mary's household. Make your home, speech, labor, recreation, prayer, and relationships fitting for the presence of the Mother of Jesus.

The Blessed Sacrament is not one devotion among many: it is Jesus Christ, the soul's true food. Let every Marian offering lead you more faithfully to her Eucharistic Son.
If you can assist at Mass and receive worthily, approach with recollection and hunger rather than habit. If you cannot, do not allow absence to become forgetfulness. Turn toward the tabernacle, confess your desire, and ask Our Lady to prepare in you a more faithful welcome for Jesus.

Before Night Falls
Return the completed day to God.
Give thanks before measuring the day by feeling or visible success. Ask light to see faults without discouragement, make an Act of Contrition, forgive injuries, and place tomorrow beneath divine Providence.
Examine what welcomed Our Lady's dispositions and what made the soul resemble Esau rather than Jacob.
