At the Visitation, Our Lady receives Christ inwardly and carries Him in haste to the house of St. Elizabeth. Her haste is peaceful obedience, not agitation: true Marian devotion magnifies God and becomes humble service that leaves another household nearer to Christ.
Ask Jesus living and reigning in Mary to live and reign throughout your entire soul, body, conduct, duties, and relationships.

“It is Thou only, my Jesus, who livest and reignest in her more perfectly than in all the Angels and the Blessed.”
Mary remains a creature transformed by grace; Jesus is her Creator, God, and King. Her greatness is precisely that He lives and reigns in her with incomparable perfection. She neither exists apart from Him nor keeps any glory for herself. Her love and praise exceed those of all other creatures because His grace has possessed her completely.
To approach Mary is therefore to encounter the perfect reign of Jesus in a human soul. Ask her to teach you the same order according to your measure: Christ living in the intellect by faith, in the will by charity, in the members by purity and obedience, in work by intention, and in suffering by union with His Cross.

Offer the day before spending it
Prayer gives the day its right beginning and its right end. Before work, conversation, news, or distraction claims the mind, adore the Blessed Trinity and offer every prayer, work, joy, suffering, and temptation to Jesus through Mary. Ask your Guardian Angel for help, and place the souls and needs entrusted to you beneath God's will.
Begin simply. Make the Morning Offering through the hands of Our Lady. Pray the Three Hail Marys for purity and final perseverance, ask your Guardian Angel to govern the senses and imagination, and name the soul or intention for which today's prayers and sacrifices will be offered. Do not rush these acts merely because they are familiar; let them place the whole day beneath God before the world begins to claim it.
O Lord Jesus Christ, through Thy holy Mother, make my charity prompt, humble, recollected, and wholly ordered to Thy glory.

“I am the trumpet - let me peal forth the news that the Son of God is come in the flesh.”

The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth. — At Rome, on the Aurelian road, the birthday of the holy martyrs Processus and Martinian, who were baptized by the blessed apostle Peter in the Mamertine prison. Christ Is King Over Public Life
Remain here for a little while. The purpose is not to gather another fact, but to allow today's Catholic truth to judge the heart, strengthen the will, and become an act offered to God.
The Church places this truth before you today: Our Lord's kingship is not confined to private devotion. Men, families, laws, and nations are subject to His authority. Do not hurry past it as though doctrine belonged only to books and controversies. A revealed truth is also a light by which the soul must judge its loyalties, its fears, its habits, and the duties immediately before it. The Church's Catholicity includes the public claim of Christ over all peoples, not merely the private consolation of believers.
The grace to be practiced is Prompt charity under Mary's rule, drawn from today's saintly witness. Ask God for more than the natural appearance of this virtue. Temperament may make an action seem easy for a time, but supernatural virtue remains faithful because God is worthy of obedience, even when feeling offers no assistance and no one notices the cost. Practice conformity to Christ by allowing His doctrine, virtues, commandments, intentions, and charity to govern every faculty.
There is also an enemy to recognize: Resist secular liberalism, which treats society as though it could be rightly ordered without Christ. Do not study this danger only in other people. Look quietly for the door by which it seeks entrance into your own soul - perhaps through delay, curiosity, resentment, human respect, attachment to comfort, or the desire to control the outcome. Dying to self today means choosing prompt charity under Mary's rule when pride, comfort, fear, resentment, or human respect asks for control.
Do the faithful act and entrust its fruit to divine Providence, God's wise and loving governance of all things. Place effort and outcome into Our Lady's hands so that the whole offering may be presented to her Divine Son. Confidence in God is not passivity: obey, pray, work, and accept that visible success, consolation, or immediate relief may not be given. God remains faithful when the duty is hidden and the outcome uncertain. Therefore, perform the duty that belongs to you, use the lawful means God has provided, and then surrender the fruit. Let Jesus reign where self-love most resists Him, accepting Mary's help in surrendering the interior strongholds of pride and fear. Consult Our Lady's dispositions in every duty and imitate her total submission so that Jesus may act and be glorified in you.

“Wherefore, if we will have the true understanding of Christ's Gospels, we must study to conform our life to His life as nigh as we can.”
The Gospel is not given only to inform the mind. Grace asks that the life of Christ become visible throughout your conduct today, with particular attention to the virtue shown in the appointed mystery.
It is possible to admire Our Lord while quietly refusing His manner of life. Ask where He is inviting you to become more patient, hidden, truthful, obedient, or forgiving. Conformity begins when admiration accepts a cost.

Before today's decisions, ask: How does fidelity to Christ govern this?
Before Night Falls
Return the completed day to God.
Give thanks before measuring the day by feeling or visible success. Ask light to see faults without discouragement, make an Act of Contrition, forgive injuries, and place tomorrow beneath divine Providence.
Examine where Jesus reigned freely and where another master commanded, then renew your surrender through His holy Mother.
