Feminism / Sexual Revolution

1. Created Distinction Is Not Oppression

Watchtower of Errors: doctrines named clearly from the safety of truth so they can be resisted.

Feminism and the sexual revolution are joined by a common revolt against created order. They treat man and woman, marriage and motherhood, fatherhood and , chastity and , as structures to be escaped rather than gifts to be ordered under God.

Pius XI, in Casti Connubii, rejects the false emancipation of women that corrupts the proper character of woman and the dignity of motherhood, injuring the family and domestic order.[1]

This revolt is not merely social confusion. It is an attack on the iconography of creation. God made man male and female. He made the body meaningful. He made marriage fruitful. He gave fatherhood and motherhood real form. He made the household a school of , sacrifice, , , tenderness, correction, and life. The sexual revolution hates this because created order preaches before words are spoken.

The False Principle

The false principle is that distinction means oppression. If man and woman are different, feminism says one must be enslaving the other. If the body has meaning, the sexual revolution says freedom requires rebellion against that meaning.

But created distinction is not oppression. It is order. The equality of human dignity does not erase the difference of vocation, body, fatherhood, motherhood, or domestic rule.

The sexual revolution adds a second lie: that desire creates identity and consent makes desire holy. This is false. Desire must be governed by truth. Consent cannot sanctify disorder. The body is not raw material for the will. It is created by God, marked by sex, ordered toward marriage, chastity, fruitfulness, and sacrificial love.

Feminism often presents itself as the defense of women, but its revolutionary form teaches women to be ashamed of womanhood. It treats motherhood as limitation, as fear, domestic as humiliation, as slavery, and masculine headship as hatred. It promises freedom by cutting woman away from the very forms in which her glory is revealed.

The sexual revolution then finishes the destruction. It separates sex from marriage, marriage from fruitfulness, fruitfulness from motherhood, motherhood from honor, fatherhood from rule, and the body from the soul. It leaves behind lonely souls, fatherless homes, wounded children, , contraception, abortion, sodomy, pornography, divorce, and the cult of self-expression.

This is a gospel of the body. It promises freedom by denying the law written into the body. It promises dignity by rejecting created form. It promises love by separating desire from sacrifice. It promises identity by making the self lord over sex.

Bride and Counterfeit

honors Our Lady, Virgin and Mother. She sees woman in Marian light: strong, , fruitful, , obedient to God, and terrible to the serpent.

does not despise women. She crowns the greatest creature as Queen. She knows that is not weakness, is not smallness, motherhood is not erasure, and to God is not degradation. In Our Lady, womanhood is not abolished but glorified.

also honors true fatherhood. in the home is not tyranny. It is sacrificial rule under God. The father is not permitted to be selfish, cruel, passive, or indulgent. He must govern as one who will be judged. The mother is not a servant of male vanity. She is the heart of the home, the guardian of life, and a strength no revolution can manufacture.

hates Marian order. She offers emancipation from womanhood, motherhood, , , and the home, then calls the exile freedom. She has relations with every sexual disorder because she refuses the meaning God placed in the body. She calls barrenness power, exposure confidence, rebellion dignity, and confusion compassion.

How Wolves Use It

use this error by speaking of dignity while destroying the very forms through which dignity is guarded. They call shame, motherhood limitation, male headship abuse, chastity repression, and sexual disorder identity.

They also bring this revolt into Catholic homes by making mothers embarrassed by domestic , fathers afraid to govern, daughters ashamed of femininity, and sons weak before disorder.

They use real abuses to sell false principles. Some men have abused . Some homes have been cruel. Some women have been treated . These sins must be condemned. But the cure for abusive is holy , not rebellion against itself. The cure for selfish men is conversion, not the abolition of fatherhood. The cure for wounded women is honor, protection, truth, and , not exile from their created glory.

also soften sexual sin by changing names. Fornication becomes relationship. Adultery becomes happiness. Sodomy becomes identity. becomes confidence. Contraception becomes responsibility. Abortion becomes healthcare. Divorce becomes healing. The name changes so the sleeps.

The refuses to speak because chastity is costly and the age is loud. He tells souls to focus on being holy while refusing to expose the errors destroying the home. But there is no holiness where there is no hatred of , and there is no where sexual lies are treated as delicate pastoral matters instead of mortal poisons.

Silence here is especially cruel to children. They are catechized early by clothing, screens, music, jokes, school language, and adult cowardice. If fathers, mothers, and priests do not name the lie, the age will name the body for them.

What This Error Destroys

It destroys chastity by enthroning desire.

It destroys by making the body a display rather than a temple.

It destroys fatherhood and motherhood by treating created vocations as oppressive roles.

It destroys the household as a little kingdom under God. The home becomes a negotiation of rival wills rather than an ordered school of holiness.

It destroys reverence for the body. The body becomes costume, instrument, commodity, or argument against creation.

It destroys children by treating them as burdens, choices, accessories, or obstacles.

It destroys Marian imagination. When Mary is no longer loved as model, woman is left to be formed by the market, the state, the academy, and the passions.

The Catholic Response

Defend created distinction without . Woman is not less because she is not man. Man is not father by domination but by sacrificial . Marriage is not a contract of rival wills but an ordered union under God.

Women should wear dresses and skirts as a fitting expression of feminine distinction. Men should not wear women's attire, and women should not wear men's attire. The body teaches. protects the soul's to created truth.

honor to the home. Fathers must govern without cowardice or cruelty. Mothers must not be ashamed of maternal glory. Sons must be trained in chastity, strength, restraint, and responsibility. Daughters must be trained in , courage, , and Marian dignity. Marriage must be guarded as a , not treated as a private arrangement of desire.

Reject every liberation that requires disobedience to creation. Reject every dignity that despises the body. Reject every mercy that excuses . The true does not free souls by denying what God made. She frees them by ordering them to Christ.

Created distinction is not oppression. It is a field where holiness is learned.
