What This Error Does
It makes the sheep think Catholic life must be acceptable to the age. Institutions, donors, schools, public approval, and civic influence become pressures to trim doctrine before anyone admits doctrine has been trimmed.
forms nations under Christ. trims the Faith until it can live comfortably inside the liberal order.
How To Respond
Reject assimilation. Catholic life must judge the nation, not be judged by it. Use lawful liberty gratefully, but do not let liberal order define Catholic truth.
