Presumption expects salvation while refusing the order by which God saves: conversion, repentance, , , true worship, and perseverance. It praises mercy while using mercy as permission to delay.
What This Error Does
It makes the soul live in tomorrow. It says confession can wait, can wait, separation from false pasture can wait, and the next faithful act can wait. But death does not ask permission, and calls today.
warns sinners because she loves them. reassures them while danger remains. The likes a sleeping sheep, and presumption is religious sleep.
How To Respond
Hope in God without mocking Him. Flee sin, seek true confession where it can be found, repair what must be repaired, and today. Mercy is not permission to delay.
