Not everything that bears the name of the Church is faithful to the Church.
The threshold exists to help the soul stop wandering through confusion and begin to recognize what is true, visible, sacramental, apostolic, and received.

Do not begin with the whole map. Begin with the obstacle before you.
The Twelve Gates belong to the City, but a confused soul should not be handed twelve doors at once. Choose the road nearest to your present need. Then let the site lead you further in order.
These shortcut paths are not replacements for the Gates. They are merciful first roads for souls standing in confusion, fear, wounded trust, family duty, or desire for the true Church.
